Irbis Heating and Plumbing installed a heat pump HVAC system in our home, replacing our 21-year-old gas furnace and electric AC. We interviewed 4 businesses, and they did the most professional presentation with the best price. Their team handled the paperwork necessary to secure rebates, which will equal about $5,500. We will also get a $2,000 tax credit. The new system is so much more quiet, and the installation went very smoothly. The men who installed it were thorough and very professional and fun to be around. The project involved: (a) upgrading our electrical with smart SPAN panel (b) installing new Carrier Air Handler + Heat Pump and (c) Rheem 65 gallon Hybrid Water Heater, and cutting off gas lines to make our house 100% electric. The estimate process was great, thanks to Raymond's knowledge and patience (as we had to go around PG&E limitations). Thank you, Raymond! Hard to find honest HVAC companies out there. I had these guys come out, the tech’s name was Ben or Nathan, I can't remember, but he was a pleasure… honest, thorough, cleaned up after himself, explained everything to me. He told me my system was just fine and could last me another 5-10 years without any issues. He could have easily tried to bait me into buying a new system now. But I respected his transparency and honesty. I will be using these guys for my yearly HVAC maintenance and when the time comes to upgrade, I’ll be using them!

Responses were prompt. - He was honest and open to any questions. - The company's overall process was clear and organized, with dedicated personnel (rebate team, permit team, warranty team, quote team, installation team, etc.), which enabled quick progress on various tasks (such as the rebate). From contract signing to payment, permit application, and installation, it was completed in just one week. So efficient! - Overall, I was quite satisfied with the installation results. Alonso from IRBIS did a great job during a routine maintenance visit for my heat pump HVAC system (which was installed by IRBIS a few years earlier). He actually arrived early, which was great (he alerted me so it wasn’t unexpected). I can’t remember a time a technician actually arrived early. He was clear about what was included in the maintenance, and proceeded to do a good job. My condenser coils are clean now! I discussed a concern about my heat pump getting icy when running in the winter, and he said to call back in the winter if it continues and discuss it with IRBIS to see if something needs to be looked at, like the pressures in cold weather. Overall, I was very happy with the experience.

First worked with IRBIS a few years back to get my old AC serviced, which itself was pretty comprehensive and complete. That old AC had acted up after about almost 20 years of regular use, especially the last few years. Came time to take on the expensive replacement project, but out of all the estimates, IRBIS made it seamless on top of giving one of the best-priced quotes along with detailing the whole install/permit process... no brainer to go with them. During install, I even took them up on their offer to get some portable ACs set up as my install happened to fall during a heat wave. The install of my new AC/furnace replacement (a heat pump) took place over about a day and a half and was just about as easy as can be. Communication was a breeze with their dedicated text line with the project manager to be able to readily answer any questions/concerns I had that came up. I can't recommend them enough for your repairs or big replacement project.

What can I say? This company is great! Changed out our gas heater furnace and replaced with a heat pump. It works great. San Bruno only has some hot, hot days/weeks but I’m so glad to have A/C whenever needed. Adds value to your home. Definitely a good investment. Tim was great at explaining the system to us before we purchased. The installers were polite, nice, and cleaned up after themselves.
